More characters announced for Disney Infinity 3.0

At last weekend’s D23 Expo, Disney revealed more characters for their forthcoming Disney Infinity 3.0 playset, including the new The Good Dinosaur movie and Star Wars The Force Awakens.

Disney Infinity D23 2015 - John BoyegaStar Wars The Force Awakens co-stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley were on hand to help provide the excitement for fans as new toy lines were displayed, including toys of their characters, Finn and Rey.

The new figures have Lightsabers that light up when placed onto the Disney Infinity Base. Other figures include Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader from Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set, which takes place during the original Trilogy, as well as Anakin Skywalker, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars Twilight of the Republic Play Set (set during the Clone Wars animated seres) and Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels.

Also announced was a special  treat for players who unlock all of the Disney Infinity figures in the game’s Hall of Heroes will unlock the Keyblade from the SQUARE ENIX KINGDOM HEARTS franchise.

Toy Box Expansion Games - Toy Box SpeedwayNew details about the upcoming Disney Infinity Marvel Play Set were unveiled, including the Play Set’s name, “Marvel Battlegrounds” and that it will feature the first four-player local co-op available in-game. The Play Set will launch in Spring 2016. The set works with the Hulkbuster and Ultron characters, coming in November 2015.

Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia and Spot from Disney Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur will be joining the all-star Disney Infinity figure lineup, and playable in the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition’s Toy Box mode.

Classic Disney fans will get Peter Pan, a new character figure, selected as part of “Toy Box Artists Choice,” an event held during this year’s Toy Box Summit.

Expect to see more reveals after the game launches on 28th August with the Star Wars Clone Wars and Inside Out packs.
