Review: Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye White Gaming Mouse

Back in 2013 Roccat launched their Kone Pure gaming mouse and a few revisions later it has now finally arrived in a white redesign.

Combining a lightweight ergonomic design along with an understated lighting effect on the main body and the Easyshift Plus function which allows you to fully programme the buttons to different games, the Kone Pure has always been a great gaming mouse.

It’s the combination of the well designed hardware and updates to Roccat’s Swarm software, which combines all their peripherals in one easy-to-use application on PC, that make this such a good mouse, despite the original design now being 5 years old.  The 12000dpi Owl Eye sensor is still up there with the best gaming mice and is just as good at professional design and art tasks as it is on the battlefield.

The 512kb memory on board helps to store macros, easily programmed in Swarm making use of the Easyshift Plus 17 different functions so that you can create personal settings for each game.   It coped well with any game I threw at it and even after a few hours play or trying to adjust images, it felt comfortable in my hand.    The response and feel are up there with far more expensive mice and this is an ideal choice for those serious about their gaming but like something that looks a little more special.
