How to Replace your PS4 Hard Drive with an external 2TB drive

There comes a point when PS4 owners find themselves running out of space.  Luckily, there’s a way to upgrade to a cheap 2TB drive and still make use of the old PS4 drive.

In the video we show you how easy it is to use the Seagate Backup Plus Slim (currently £74.99 on Amazon.co.uk) to upgrade the PS4 hard drive and then use the empty caddy as a new USB drive for the 500GB PS4 Hard Drive.

Before you start, you’ll need to backup your game saves to either the cloud or a USB drive and also backup any screenshots and videos you’ve taken.  Everything else (games, DLC etc) can be reinstalled once you’ve finished.

You’ll also need access to a PC or Mac to download the latest Playstation OS, which can be found on this page.

We’d love to know what you think so please leave your comments on our video or below.
