Sean Murray releases personal statement ahead of No Man’s Sky’s NEXT launch

The latest, and possibly biggest, update for Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky hits consoles and PC later today and Sean Murray has released a message to the community about the original launch and plans going forward.

Briefly addressing the problems at launch, Sean admits that things could have been different “I personally made mistakes. I could talk all day about things I personally would change. ”  but that the 3 major free updates, including the huge Atlas Rises, have vastly improved the game.

The update that arrives today, called NEXT, will finally see full co-op multiplayer hit the game, where you’ll be able to work in a group of 4, sharing resources, flying and building bases together.  It also provides a huge graphical update and recodes the worlds to give them a more realistic look, also adding new creatures and better Earth-like planets.

A Message to the Community

NEXT should hit consoles at 2pm BST today, alongside the launch of the Xbox One version of the game with full 4K support on the One X.  You can watch the trailer for NEXT below.
