Artifex Mundi have announced the release of their first game on Nintendo Switch. Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood.
The Game Development Studio from Poland are famous for releasing high quality ‘hidden object’ adventures on mobile, PC and consoles with interesting characters and stories. Enigmatis 2 marks their first entry on Nintendo’s platform and is also one of their best games to date, so a good jumping on point.
The synopsis for the game reads “A year has passed since the events of Maple Creek. But for the past few months, our detective has been hot on the trail of the demonic preacher she fought one year ago. Yet he has managed to always stay one step ahead.
She hoped to bring an end to the chase in the redwood forests of Northern California. But like so many times before, the trail went cold…
And all clues led into nearby Ravenwood Park…”
The Hidden Object genre has expanded greatly in the last few years, adding high quality story telling, puzzles and action elements but remains an ideal series of games for those who prefer a slower paced, more cerebral time.
