In a rather packed Xbox E3 show, Phil Spencer announced a few small details of the new Xbox, codenamed project Scarlett.
There was no sign of a physical console on the show but some interesting details were revealed during the video. Among the details were the fact that, just like the PS5, Project Scarlett would be using AMD’s Navi GPU and AMD Zen 2 CPU and an SSD drive.
From what Microsoft has revealed, they’re aiming for a console that can do 120fps and has the ability to provide 8k images, though whether that’s native or upscaled, we don’t know yet. It’s said to be 4x more powerful than the Xbox One X with a 40x performance increase over current generation consoles
