According to a Nikkei report, Nintendo’s forthcoming Switch console will allegedly cost around ¥25,000, which is around £175.
It’s not a direct statement from the Japanese financial newspaper, though, according to a translation over on Engadget, but an estimate based on their knowledge of the company and the hardware.
in addition, that £175 probably isn’t a good reflection of the UK price, either, as tax and market conditions will push the price up. The previous rumours of a £200 and £250 tiered console do seem to fit the story, though, making the hybrid console/handheld an attractive proposition.
Switch is due to launch in March this year and Nintendo have a full reveal with more details this coming Friday at 4am.
