Hello Games have released a fantastic new update for their massive universe spanning game No Man’s Sky today. The Beyond update introduces a VR mode, expanded multiplayer and a host of features.
This free update brings No Man’s Sky to version 2.0 and sees many of the original visions of the game realised, including a populated multiplayer universe, riding on creatures, better base building and, of course, the Virtual Reality mode.
VR mode is supported on both PSVR for Playstation and Steam VR. You can re-enter your own game to view it in VR and switch between VR mode and standard at any time.
Missions and tutorials have been significantly revised, new story content has been added, base building and tech now have research trees and you can even cook recipes using the plants and wildlife as ingredients, then submit them to the space equivalent of Paul Hollywood!
Multiplayer sees up to 8 players at a time and a range of enhancements to matchmaking, including a hub point to meet new players.
There are tons of other additions and fixes, all of which are detailed on the No Man’s Sky site under the Patch Notes.  I, for one, can’t wait to get stuck in to the latest update. Maybe I’ll see you there?
