The game file for the Splatoon 2 global testfire, a sort of beta for the Switch’s forthcoming game, is now available to pre-load on the Switch eShop.
The actual event doesn’t happen until 24th March, with dates and times listed below, but it’s worth downloading now ready to play.
There is still no set release date for the full game, save for Nintendo positioning it somewhere during Summer 2017.
This mirrors the original game’s Global Testfire events before launch, giving potential players a chance to try the ink-based multiplayer shooter with 4 different weapons during the six scheduled sessions, lasting an hour each.
The sessions are listed as;
- March 24th, 7pm GMT
- March 25th, 3am GMT
- March 25th, 11am GMT
- March 25th, 7pm GMT
- March 26th, 4am GMT
- March 26th, 12pm GMT
