Capcom UK have tweeted that the Street Fighter V Beta, which went live today on PS4, is down for extended maintenance.
The tweet reads “The SFV closed beta test is entering a period of extended maintenance in order to fix issues preventing the beta from loading.”
The game went down earlier for around 5-6 hours to fix smaller issues, so we’re expecting a longer period of downtime to fix what seem to be more substantial problems.
Betas are there to be tested and bugs are bound to be found by players testing the system, so it’s good that Capcom are catching these now, but it adds yet more fuel to the fire of those who argue against Betas being sent out to players who really don’t understand what they’re used for or for companies who just want to use them for promotion.
