Apple has announced that it will be removing iTunes from Mac, PC and iOS devices and replacing the functionality by splitting it in to the separate apps for Music, TV and Podcasts.
Those concerned about the removal of the service or their current iTunes library need not worry as the store will be available on Apple Music, which has now been a staple app of all iOS devices for years. The separation also means that Podcasts, TV and Film will be easier to find without a huge mess of media appearing in every search.
This also opens the door for Apple TV to get a new front end, including the Apple Music App within the Apple TV device menu and for Podcasts to finally get their own specific store ready for incorporating on Apple Watch.
