Nintendo have announced that the NFC reader for 3DS, used to read Amiibo characters and cards, will launch this Autumn alongside a new Animal Crossing game.
Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer is a downloadable game which tasks you with designing interiors for various Animal Crossing characters, using new cards to scan the characters.
The New 3DS and New 3DS XL have built in NFC chips that let you use the cards and Amiibos, but Nintendo are also launching an NFC reader alongside the game this Autumn.
Expect the reader to be packaged with the game and cards when it arrives in stores.
