The list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One grows as Microsoft adds new titles to its growing service.
Saints Row IV, Deadspace, Soul Calibur II HD, Left 4 Dead 2, King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match and Halo Wars have joined the long list of Backward Compatible games.
More games are added each month, with every new 360 Games with Gold game being added to the list automatically, as the system moves towards a ‘release when ready’ format rather than regular large batches of games.
If you own any of these games digitally already then you can find them sitting on the right of your games list, ready to install. Alternatively, you can use a game disc and it will install the game from that or buy a digital copy on Xbox.com or an Xbox 360 console.
How to install and play Xbox 360 backward compatible games on your Xbox One
- Disc: For disc-based games that are a part of the Backward Compatable game catalog, simply insert the disc and the console will begin downloading the game to your hard drive. After the game has finished downloading, you will still need to keep the game disc in the drive to play.
- Digital: The digital titles that you own and are part of the Backward Compatable game catalog will automatically show up in the “Ready to Install” section on your Xbox One, and once they are installed they will show up in the Games section of your Xbox One.
