Ubisoft have unveiled Watch_Dogs 2, the sequel to their hacker-based open world game, via a livestream today.
The sequel still features an underline between the words to make it look edgy but while that particular grammatical oddity remains the same, there’s a lot of changes for this second outing.
Set in the San Francisco Bay Area,Ubisoft have managed to create a massive and dynamic open world environment  featuring many of the city’s iconic areas, all promising to feel unique to each other.  The new protagonist is Marcus Holloway, wanting to hit back at the system for being framed for a crime he didn’t commit thanks, in part, to the original’s shady security and tech firm ctOS 2.0 corporation and its predictive algorithms .
Featuring a more elaborate hacking system than the first game, players can not only hack into the city’s infrastructure but also every person and any connected device they possess to trigger unpredictable chains of events. With the ability to take control of drones, cars, cranes, security robots, and much more at their disposal, players can choose whether to use stealth hacking to complete missions without killing a single enemy or go guns blazing for a more ferocious approach. In this vast open world, players can hack their way through traffic while engaging in dangerous car chases through the winding streets of San Francisco, traverse the rooftops of the vibrant neighborhoods of Oakland, and infiltrate the offices of cutting-edge companies in Silicon Valley.
The quad-copter drone, in particular, looks like a great addition to your arsenal and gives you the ability to scope out a place before entering into a mission. Â It can also help you carry objects around. Phones have changed with the times, too, and give you more opportunity to hack all the NPCs in the game.
Watch_Dogs 2 will be hitting stores and digital on November 15th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
